In close collaboration with Animal Science Department faculty members, the candidate shall be required to:
1. Teach and develop courses in the field of poultry science at all three levels of study (bachelor, master and doctoral);
2. Lead a program of original research in the field of sustainable poultry production;
3. Direct and guide students at all three levels of study;
4. Assume an equitable share of department participation in work conducted by internal and external committees;
5. Participate in Université Laval campus life.

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a field relating to poultry science or in a pertinent field of study. He or she must possess sufficient
knowledge and experience to teach courses* to bachelor, master and doctoral students in the field of poultry science and must have demonstrated
aptitude (relevant publications and other achievements) for independently conducting research on the study of sustainable poultry productions
(management and sustainability of poultry farms, and their environmental and social impacts). He or she must display excellent aptitudes for
communication (oral and written) and teamwork, as well as a genuine interest in teaching. She or he must have a strong knowledge of the poultry
industry and its challenges, as well as a clear vision of its sustainability.
